Award Certificate from United Nation for improving transparency, accountability and responsiveness in the public service categoryThe Gujarat government's statewide Attention on Grievances with Application of Technology (SWAGAT) programme had won United Nations Public Service Award (UNPSA) for 2010. The Chief Minister’s Office of Gujarat has been recognized by the UNO through this award (2nd place) for its contribution “towards improving the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of public service”. The SWAGAT system was adjudged by the United Nations to be a global model for improving Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in Public Service. This online grievance redressal system is conceptualized, developed and implemented by the Chief Minister’s Office itself. It is running successfully for last seven years and has been a boon for the users who are the common people of the State.
