Veterans Day Posters 1978 to 2014
Description
Each year since 1978 the Department of Veterans Affairs publishes a commemorative Veterans Day poster. The poster is selected through a competition organized in collaboration with the Veteran’s Affairs National Veterans Outreach Office and the Veteran’s Day National Committee. Submissions come from U.S. citizens nationwide and the selected poster is featured on the cover of the official program for the Veterans Day Observance at Arlington Cemetery. These posters serve to remind us of the important protective work and contributions by veterans over the decades, to paving the way for our freedom.
