Description

Stone Belt is one of the oldest and largest service providers for those with developmental disabilities in southern Indiana.  In partnering with the community, Stone Belt prepares, empowers, and supports those peopel and their families to participate in the life of the community.  Started in 1958 in the basement of a church in Bloomington, IN, Stone Belt has developed into a large organization with over 500 employees and having served more than 2,500 clients.  With programs in lifelong learning, art, employment, volunteering, and more, Stone Belt integrates those with developemntal disabilities into the community through organizational and self-advocacy.
