This sculpture of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was created by renowned artist Master Lei Yixin and it depicts Dr. King in a moment of reflexion.It serves as the main element in the Martin Luther King memorial, and it's been referred to as the Stone of Hope. The space between the Stone of Hope and the rest of the monument, referred to as the Mountain of Despair, allows for a perfect view of the Thomas Jefferson memorial emphasizing the principles of freedom and liberty.
